# Lawn care in Niagara: mowing, cleanups, and hedges

Zulma offers four lawn care services across the Niagara region, typically available April through November. The same vetted, insured Pros who handle cleaning cross-train on lawn care, so it's one trusted team for your home, inside and out. Every Pro is background-checked and identity-verified before taking jobs, and the crew brings their own equipment. Prices are all-in: the number you see is the number you pay. Zulma isn't charging sales tax during launch.
Lawn care jobs may be rescheduled due to rain or unsafe conditions at no charge. Weather reschedules are always free. You'll be notified the night before with your next available window.

## How lawn pricing works
Mowing and cleanup prices scale with the size of your lot. You'll see the exact price when you enter your address at [app.zulma.ca](https://app.zulma.ca).

## Mowing
Cut, edge, and tidy on a steady cadence, weekly or every other week.
**What's included on every visit:**
* Mow at your preferred height (default 3.5 inches in summer, lower for spring and fall)
* Trim around trees, fences, and garden beds
* Edge driveway, walkways, and curb
* Mulch clippings by default (bagging available as an add-on)
* Quick visual inspection: the crew flags pests, lawn stress, or irrigation issues you may want to address

* Fertilizer, weed control, or chemical treatments
* Sod repair or reseeding
* Tree pruning above shrub height
* Snow removal

## Spring cleanup
The seasonal reset. Rake out winter debris, edge garden beds, and lay down the first crisp cut of the year. Book in March to lock in your preferred week, typically late April or early May in Niagara, after the last frost.
**What's included:**
* Full property rake-down: lift matted grass, remove leaves, sticks, and salt residue
* Edge garden beds and walkways
* First cut of the year (slightly higher than usual to protect new growth)
* Light pruning of dead winter growth
* Debris bagged and curbside-ready for municipal yard-waste pickup
* Property walk-through report: the crew flags winter damage, drainage issues, or pest concerns

## Fall cleanup
End-of-season reset. Clear leaves, clean gutters, prep beds, and put your yard to bed properly before winter. Done right, your spring cleanup takes half the time.
**What's included:**
* Full leaf removal: mowed-up or hand-raked depending on volume
* Final cut of the year (slightly shorter to discourage snow mould)
* Bed prep for winter: cut back perennials, clear annuals, light mulching
* Debris bagged and curbside-ready
* Property walk-through report: drainage trouble spots and dead branches flagged before snow
**What's not included:**
* Snow removal
* Tree work requiring climbing
* Outdoor furniture storage
* Holiday lighting installation
**Popular add-on: gutter cleaning +\$75.** Strongly recommended in fall, since clogged gutters cause ice dams and water damage in winter. Have a lot of bagged leaves? Add debris haul for **\$50** or leaf bagging for **\$40**.

## Hedge trimming
Maintenance trim or ornamental shaping for hedges, shrubs, and small trees. The crew measures on arrival, agrees on scope, then goes.
**What's included:**
* Trim to your preferred height and shape (flat-top, rounded, or matched to an existing line)
* Hedge clippers plus manual touch-ups for detailed shaping
* Trimmings cleaned up: mulched in place by default, removal available as an add-on
* Light shaping of nearby shrubs within arm's reach at no extra cost
* Final walk-through with you if you're home
**What's not included:**
* Tree work above ladder height (anything over 10 ft requires specialty equipment)
* Stump removal or root work
* Hedge replacement or planting
* Spraying for pests or disease
**Pricing:** from \$89 for the first 0–30 ft of hedge, then +\$1.50 per foot beyond. Trimmings removal is a **\$25** add-on if you'd rather not mulch in place.

They're bagged and placed at the curb for municipal yard-waste pickup. If your area doesn't have pickup or yours has already passed, the debris haul add-on takes care of it for \$50.
Anything reachable safely from a step ladder. Anything taller, roughly 10 ft or more, requires specialty equipment that Zulma doesn't currently carry. The crew will refer you to a tree-care company in your area.
