Pay on Zulma is meant to be obvious. Before you accept a single job, you see the full payout for that job in the offer. No surprises on the other side, no deductions you didn’t know about. The number you accept is the number that flows to you.

What you keep

You keep 70% of the job. That covers the base price, any add-ons, and any surcharges (rush, peak slot, edge-zone travel). Zulma keeps the remaining 30% to run the platform: dispatch, payments, support, and insurance. You keep 100% of tips. When a customer adds a tip, the full amount is yours. Zulma never takes a portion of any tip. Your work is service-agnostic. The same 70% structure applies whether the job is cleaning, lawn care, or car detailing.

How recurring discounts work

When a customer books on a recurring schedule, they get a discount from their second visit onward: weekly saves them the most, then biweekly, then monthly. That discount comes out of Zulma’s share, not yours. You are paid on the pre-discount amount. A recurring job pays you the same 70% as if the customer had paid full price, so taking on regular customers never costs you anything.

Tips, in detail

Tips are optional for the customer and default to nothing. When a tip is added, it is editable from the moment you accept the job through one hour after the job is marked complete. Because of that window, your final tip total can settle shortly after you finish.
You see your final payout, including the settled tip, once the editing window closes. Customers are never told whether they tipped you, so there is never any pressure either way at the door.

What you see before you accept

Every job offer shows the full payout breakdown up front: the base, any add-ons, any surcharges, and your 70% share. You decide with the full picture in hand.
1

A job offer arrives

The offer lists the service, the schedule, and your payout for that specific job.
2

You review the payout

Base, add-ons, and surcharges are itemised. Your share is shown clearly.
3

You accept or decline

If you accept, the payout you saw is the payout you earn. Tips can still be added during and shortly after the job.

How payouts reach you

Payouts are sent through your connected payout account, set up with Stripe when you onboard. You link your banking details once, and Stripe handles the transfers. You can track your earnings and view your payout history any time in the Pro app.
Keep your payout account details current in the app. If your banking information changes, update it before your next job so nothing is held up.

Taxes

As an independent contractor, you handle your own taxes. Zulma does not withhold income tax or contributions on your behalf, so set aside a portion of each payout for what you will owe. You report your Zulma earnings as self-employment income on your personal return. If you have questions about your own tax situation, a tax professional is the right person to ask.

Supplies and equipment

Most Pros bring their own supplies and equipment. Customers can also choose to provide their own, and that is noted on the job offer before you accept, so you always know what to bring.
