Pick a service and configure your home
Choose between cleaning and lawn care, then select the service tier that fits your needs. For cleaning, you’ll enter details like the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and select any add-ons. For lawn care, you’ll describe the property. These details determine your quoted price.
Choose a date and time slot
Select a date and a time slot that works for you. Same-day slots are available when crew members are online — look for slots marked Same-day available. You can also schedule ahead for any upcoming date.
A $50 same-day rush fee applies to bookings made less than 24 hours in advance.
Confirm and pre-authorize payment
Review your quote, which shows the base price, any applicable same-day, weekend, or surge adjustments as transparent dollar amounts, and the HST (13%) itemized separately. Confirm the booking to pre-authorize your card. Two payment models are supported and clearly labelled at checkout:
- Card pre-authorization (default when card payments are enabled) — your card is pre-authorized for the quoted amount when you confirm. No charge is captured until a crew member accepts the job. If no crew member accepts in time, the hold is released in full.
- Pay on completion (current beta default) — no card on file is required; you settle with the crew member after the visit by cash, e-transfer, or invoice.
Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Every receipt is CRA-compliant with HST itemized for your records.
Get matched to a vetted crew member
Once you confirm, Zulma dispatches the booking to available, vetted crew members in your area. The average accept time is under 30 seconds in the core Niagara service area. You’ll receive confirmation once a crew member accepts.Every crew member is reference-checked, capability-tagged, and covered by Zulma’s $2,000,000 Commercial General Liability policy.
Crew arrives and completes the job
Your crew member arrives at the scheduled time and completes the agreed scope of work. Before and after photos may be taken to document quality — you can opt out by leaving a note on the booking. For lawn care visits, crew members comply with local municipal bylaws on noise and equipment hours. If weather makes a lawn care visit unsafe or ineffective, Zulma or your crew member will reschedule at no charge to you.
Rate your crew member and pay
After the job, you’ll be prompted to leave a rating. Your feedback directly affects crew quality scores and helps other customers make informed decisions. If you notice anything was missed, report it within 24 hours and Zulma will send someone back to re-clean those areas at no charge.
Recurring bookings
If you want the same service on a regular schedule, set up a recurring booking. You’ll save up to 20% per visit, keep the same crew member on each visit, and never need to book manually again. You can cancel or pause the schedule at any time. Recurring bookings lock the agreed per-visit price for the duration of the schedule. Zulma will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any service-area-wide rate adjustment.Cancellations
