Before anyone shows up at your door, they’ve cleared the checks Zulma runs on every Pro: cleaners, lawn care providers, and detailers alike. No exceptions, and no trial runs on real customer homes. Here’s exactly what that looks like.

Background check

Every Pro passes a third-party criminal record check before they can take any job on the platform. This is run by an independent screening provider, not self-reported.

Identity verification

Every Pro verifies their identity before their first booking, so the person who applied is the person who shows up. No one accepts jobs until both the background check and identity verification are complete.

Their own insurance

Every Pro carries their own liability insurance. On top of that, Zulma itself carries $5,000,000 in commercial general liability plus $100,000 in cyber coverage, so you’re protected on every booking made through the platform. More detail on our insurance coverage.

Ongoing rating bar

Passing the initial vetting isn’t the end of it. After every job, you rate your Pro. Pros are expected to keep their rating high, and a Pro who slips below the bar is paused for retraining or removed from the platform.

Who’s coming to your home

When your booking confirms, you’re told who to expect: first name, last initial, profile photo, and current rating. You can view their profile before they arrive, and you’ll get a push and email the moment they’re on their way and again when the job is complete.

Your address and your privacy

We share only what a Pro needs to do the job, and only when they need it.

Address after acceptance

Your full address is shared with a Pro only after they accept your booking. Until then, it stays private.

Live location only en route

A Pro’s live location is visible to you only while they’re on their way to you. It is never tracked after they arrive, and never while they’re off the job.

Logged arrivals

Arrival and completion are GPS-logged so there’s a clear record of when the work started and finished, with no guessing on either side.
