After contractors leave, fine drywall dust settles into vents, fabric, electronics, and every surface in the home. A standard clean or move-in/out clean isn’t equipped for it — post-construction cleaning uses HEPA-filtered vacuums, multiple wet passes, and technique suited to construction debris and plaster residue. Plan for 6–8 hours. Pricing starts at $338 CAD; your final price with HST is shown before you confirm, with no hidden fees.Documentation Index

Post-construction cleaning is a distinct service from the move-in / move-out clean. It’s specifically designed for post-renovation and new-build debris — fine drywall dust, construction residue, and plaster — that standard cleaning techniques can’t fully address. If you’re turning over a home after a tenancy (not a renovation), the move-in / move-out clean is the right fit.
Available 7 days a week across the Niagara region and Hamilton. $2M CGL insured, vetted crew, 100% satisfaction guarantee on every job.

When to choose a post-construction clean
Just-renovated kitchens or bathrooms — Drywall dust gets everywhere. This clean handles the deep dust removal so the room is actually usable. Whole-home renovations — Larger projects often need a multi-cleaner team. Book early and Zulma will allocate 2–3 cleaners for a single-day completion. New construction handover — Builders often leave a basic broom-clean. This service gets the home truly move-in ready before unpacking.Frequently asked questions
When should I book — right after the contractor leaves?
When should I book — right after the contractor leaves?
Wait 24 hours so airborne dust has fully settled, then book. Cleaning too early just stirs the dust back up. If your renovation is staged, book a clean after each phase.
Why is post-construction cleaning more expensive than a deep clean?
Why is post-construction cleaning more expensive than a deep clean?
It takes longer (6–8 hours vs 4–6) and requires HEPA-filtered equipment plus more aggressive techniques. Drywall dust is fine and gets into HVAC vents, fabric, and electronics — it takes multiple passes to fully remove.
Can you remove construction debris?
Can you remove construction debris?
Smaller volumes — yes, with the $120 haul-away add-on. For dumpster-loads of debris, a junk-removal service is recommended. Zulma can refer one in your area.
Will you handle paint or stain removal?
Will you handle paint or stain removal?
Light overspray and splatters on hard surfaces — yes. For drips or larger areas, a painter’s touch-up is the safer answer. Aggressive treatment risks damaging new finishes.
Do I need to be home?
Do I need to be home?
Not necessarily, but for post-construction Zulma recommends a brief walkthrough at the start so the cleaner understands which surfaces are sensitive — custom finishes, just-installed flooring, and similar.
